OBEL Build
The OBEL Foundation, since 2019, has awarded travel grants to Danish students of Architecture, Design, and Landscape across Denmark in order to promote architectural excellence and offer students an opportunity to explore, experience and research topics of their choice with a global perspective in mind.
This travel grant program is now being updated to OBEL Build, a more impactful and wider-reaching grant mechanism.
OBEL Build, seeks to build new connections with multiple partners, regions and techniques for Danish architecture students to gain the skills and further education needed for industry transition.
Partners are selected based on their credibility within the built environment, as well as their experience in running hands-on workshops with their network for example of master builders and material specialists. The topic of the OBEL Build workshop will follow the annual focus for the OBEL Foundation.
The program allows students to gain inspiration and new perspectives of architectural discourse and new practice in different regions and contexts.
